Kansas Future Fellows

Application

We are seeking 8-10 entrepreneurial leaders who are looking for new ways of thinking and bring the desire for a broader role in enriching the lives of children and families in their community and across the state.

Distinct from a leadership training program, participants will be public and private sector leaders with an established track record of creativity and community successes. We are also seeking a diverse group people from both the public and private sectors, with a demonstrated orientation for action. The vision is for this group to begin a state-wide network of systems-level change agents.

The concept is tried and true – private corporations have long developed “skunkworks” and “innovation labs” to generate and test new ideas ahead of the market. Governments committed to economic development establish special economic zones to encourage foreign investment and new business start-ups. The scope of investment in innovation narrows when it comes to the social sector.
